KILLSWITCH ENGAGE Guitarist DUTKIEWICZ To Miss European Dates
May 5, 2007KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, who underwent emergency back surgery in January during the band's European trek, will be forced to miss the band's European festival appearances and other dates during June while he continues his recovery.
"I'm pretty bummed that I won't be able to make it across the pond and indulge in the fine brews and meat sandwiches of Europe this summer," Adam said in a statement. "Though I'm feeling tons better I really need to get further rest, drink more protein shakes, and flex in the mirror while listening to NIGHT RANGER's greatest hits. I need to be in top form for Warped Tour in late June. I'll definitely be seeing you guys on the next run."
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's video for the band's new single, "The Arms of Sorrow", has been posted online at MySpace. According to the casting call sheet, "this video revolves around a man falling from a high-rise building in slow motion and people reacting to it."
"The Arms of Sorrow" comes off the group's new album, "As Daylight Dies", which has sold 237,000 copies in the United States since its November 21 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD is the follow-up to 2004's Grammy-nominated album "The End of Heartache", and 2005's gold-selling DVD "(Set This) World Ablaze".
